
Leonard DiCosimo is President of the Cleveland Federation of Musicians, Local 4 of the American Federation of Musicians of the United States and Canada, and represents a diverse clientele of musical artists including The Musicians of The Cleveland Orchestra and Playhouse Square Foundation, independent songwriters and an abundance of world class musicians that call Northeast Ohio home.
He also serves as the president of the union's two subsidiaries - The Music Fund - a nonprofit organization dedicated to concerts free and open to the public - and Music Talent of Cleveland, a booking agency for live musicians.
DiCosimo is the Director of Music Ministry for Pilgrim United Church of Christ in the Tremont neighborhood of Cleveland. He is also the Choral Director for Lakeland Community College in Kirtland, where he is conductor of the Civic Chorus, Chorale and Women's Choir.
DiCosimo was appointed Interim Director of Choral Activities for Baldwin-Wallace University Conservatory and served on the conducting faculty for seven years directing choirs, teaching conducting classes and music directing productions in the music theatre and theatre departments.

DiCosimo was an associate artist for Cleveland Opera on Tour, and a member of the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh Opera Chorus and Cleveland Opera Chorus. He played electric and acoustic bass for Playhouse Square Foundation, Great Lakes Theatre Festival and Cleveland Play House productions. He supported a wide variety of artists ranging from Phyllis Diller to the Fat Boys, and sailed the high seas as a cruise ship musician for the Princess and Royal Cruise Lines.
DiCosimo earned degrees in composition from Cleveland State University, B.M. and Carnegie-Mellon Univeristy, M.M.. He studied voice with Noriko Fujii and Lee Cass, composition with Edwin London and Nancy Galbraith, and imagination with Howie Smith.

DiCosimo released two collections of original songs - 'Systematic Tales' in 2015 and 'Where We Are' in 2013. He was also an owner of the incomparable wine and martini bar - Budapest Blonde in Independence.
